I’m going to be honest with you, 2019 exhausted me more than I even realized. Which is why it is ten days into the new year, and this post is just happening. I started 2020 tired! And it took me 10 days to get ramped up for a new year.
Don’t get me wrong, 2019 was a great year for me personally, and professionally. My business exceeded the goals that I’d set at the top of 2019 But I stretched myself too thin, and wore myself out getting there. I took the last few weeks of the year off, and used that time to reflect on what worked for me and my business, what didn’t work, and restrategized for 2020.
I actually strategized twice. In November, I’d already worked through what worked and didn’t work for my business in terms of gaining new clients, and bringing in revenue. But January 1st, I reworked where I was dedicating my time, and created a time strategy.
So going into 2020, I have a marketing and time strategy that focuses on my 2 goals for the year. Those two goals will be my north star for everything that I do. Every dollar and minute I spend on my business needs to support my goals.

- Is my to do list ranked in order of what supports my goals?
- Does this meeting request support my goal?
- What can I streamline or omit, to better focus on my goals?
With new and updated goals, comes an update of existing processes and procedures. So I’ve audited and updated my website, hired a virtual assistant, and updated my applications to better streamline my day. I’ve made changes so that I’m able to focus my time and energy on the things that matter the most for my business.
So 2020, I’m ready for you! I’m 10 days late, but here I am. Let’s do this!
